Do You Need Any Tea Ceremony Experience?
Not at all! You don’t need any prior experience with the tea ceremony to participate in WASAKO’s workshop. In fact, for many participants, this is their very first experience with the Japanese tea ceremony.
Our approachable instructors and friendly staff will guide you through each step carefully and explain everything in easy-to-understand English. You don’t need to know anything about tea ceremony etiquette, how to use tea utensils, or how to prepare matcha before you arrive.
We’ll teach you everything from how to enjoy traditional Japanese sweets to how to drink matcha, and even how to froth delicious matcha yourself.
There’s no need to worry about making mistakes. Our tea ceremony experience is designed so that anyone can enjoy it casually and in a relaxed atmosphere.
Whether you’re completely unfamiliar with Japanese culture or simply interested in the traditions of the tea ceremony, everyone is warmly welcome. Please come as you are, relax, and if you’d like a chair provided, please let us know in advance.
