Upon arriving at WASAKO, you can start by taking beautiful photos in the traditional Japanese garden of “Charyo-Ichimastu.”
Once inside the tea room, an instructor will explain the tea utensils used in the tea ceremony and the Japanese sweets served to guests. Afterward, you’ll watch a demonstration of the traditional tea ceremony and learn the meaning behind each elegant movement.
You’ll enjoy traditional Japanese sweets and freshly brewed matcha. After watching the demonstration, you’ll also learn how to prepare smooth, delicious matcha yourself using traditional tea utensils.
Don’t worry if this is your first tea ceremony. Our friendly instructors and helpful staff will guide you through each step carefully and explain everything in an easy-to-understand manner. No prior knowledge of Japanese culture or tea ceremonies is necessary.
Please relax, soak up the serene atmosphere, and enjoy a special moment where you can experience authentic Japanese hospitality during your stay in Tokyo.
